Visit us in Waterbury:

Snow Farm has a year round tasting area located at the Cabot Annex / Lake Champlain Chocolate Complex on Route 100 in Waterbury (one mile down the road from Ben & Jerry’s on the way to Stowe, Vermont’s premier ski area).

With much encouragement from Cabot, a Vermont producer of internationally acclaimed cheeses, we opened our off-site tasting and sales area on October 2, 1999 and unlike our tasting room at the vineyard and winery, which closes from January 1 - May 1, this location stays open year round.

What is most exciting is that Vermont wine, Vermont cheese and Vermont chocolate can now be sampled in one convenient location, along with Vermont coffee, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters.

Who We Are In Waterbury:

Carol Tilley:  Her credentials consisted of  “she was a friend of Lorraine Menard’s” (a Snow Farm employee at the time) and that was good enough for me.  And now, after being with Snow Farm for eight years, I can only guess that Carol is a glutton for punishment.

Chris Martin: When I hired Cassandra, little did I know that it was a two-for-one deal.  So when Cassandra is up at the vineyard, Chris, her brother, covers Waterbury.  Apparently, young ladies like the fact that Chris works our Cabot tasting room, but since this is Vermont, it’s no problem for young men to also like the fact that Chris works our Cabot tasting room.

Visit us in Quechee Gorge Village:

Snow Farm Vineyard & Gallery at the Quechee Gorge Village is now open. Here you are able to taste wine and stroll around looking at artwork and crafts from among the finest Vermont artisans. If you are not familiar with Quechee Gorge Village, the vision is to have Vermont products and artisans all at one location, and once inside the main building, one business fluently segues into the next.

Quechee Gorge Village is located on Route 4, just off the intersection of Vermont’s two major highways, I-89 and I-91, on the way to Woodstock and Killington. It’s only a few miles from the New Hampshire border and Hanover, NH and Dartmouth College.

Who We Are In Quechee:

Heather Rice:  What came first, the chicken or the egg?  Analogous to Columbus discovering America really only to discover the Native Americans already here, Heather was working at our Quechee location before we had a Quechee location.
She was actually working for the artisan gallery space we took over, and given that she knew very little about wine, I asked her if she’d like to stay on.

Unfortunately, she now knows about wines too so it’s no longer fun to approach her and ask her to pronounce “Gerwertztramminer”.

Carolyn Sailer:
Carolyn works part-time and spends the rest of her time in Hawaii.  It’s a tough commute, but someone needs to do it.  Actually, when not in Hawaii, she spends the rest of her time with her bed and breakfast, The MoonShine Inn and Christophe Chef Services, a catering business she runs with her husband, Chris. www.themoonshineinn.com, (802) 484-8991.
