Learn How to Wrap a Wine Bottle in 3 Creative Ways

How to wrap a wine bottle

One of the most frustrating chores can be wrapping oddly shaped gifts, like wine bottles! We’re here to help with a few easy and creative ways to wrap a wine bottle. Read on to learn how to wrap your Snow Farm Vineyard wine bottles like a pro in three different ways.

How to wrap a wine bottle

Wrap a Wine Bottle with Christmas Socks

This wrapping option doubles as a second gift! Who doesn’t like more presents?

Find a pair of festive socks and simply put one of the socks on your Snow Farm wine bottle.

Wrap the second sock around the top of the bottle and tie it. Pull the ends to make it look like a bow.

The person you give your gift to will be delighted by your creativity and thoughtfulness.

Wrap a Wine Bottle with Fabric or a Dish Towel

If you have some holiday fabric hanging around, use it to wrap your wine bottle!

You could also use a decorative dish towel if you’d like to give an extra present along with your wine.

To wrap the wine bottle, put it in the center of a piece of fabric or dish towel (18×28 inches). Pull up the ends to the top of the bottle and secure with a festive ribbon.

Wrap a Wine Bottle with Wrapping Paper

This one is easier than it looks. You can do it! Follow the steps below and check out our tutorial video to get a visual.

1. Place your wine bottle on the wrapping paper. Cut the wrapping paper so it is 2 inches below the bottom of the bottle and 8 inches above the top of the bottle. Make sure it is wide enough to wrap around the bottle.

2. Wrap the paper around the bottle. Secure with tape.

3. At the bottom of the bottle: Fold the wrapping paper down in triangles and secure with tape.

4. At the top of the bottle: Fold the wrapping paper down like a fan, and secure it in the middle with tape.

5. Wrap a ribbon around the bottle lengthwise. Tape together or tie in a bow.

6. Spread apart the fan and tape it together in the middle.

7. Tape on a bow underneath the fan.

Experience a Wine Tasting at our Vermont Vineyard

We all know that feeling when you order a glass of wine, thinking you’ll love it, but when you taste it, you realize it’s not for you. Wine envy sets in as you eye the wine glass of the person nearest to you and wish you had ordered what they’re drinking.

When you visit a vineyard, one of the best things you can do is start with a wine tasting.

Wine tastings are like speed-dating a bunch of wines. You’ll get a flight of wines and taste a small pour of each until you find the one you love. Then, when you order a glass or a bottle of your favorite, you’ll know it’ll be a match made in vineyard heaven.

How Wine & Spirit Tastings Work at Snow Farm Vineyard

When you look at a wine list it can be overwhelming if you’re not a wine expert. Wine tastings make it easy to find something you love!

At Snow Farm Vineyard & Distillery, you can choose from four or eight wines to create your customized wine flight. You’ll receive a menu where you can read the wine descriptions and mark each of your choices. When you hand your menu back to your server, they’ll pour your chosen flight of wines in the recommended tasting order. Our standard wine tasting allows you to choose from all of our classic styles of wines. You can add in our dessert wines and can also taste our Snow Farm Distillery products which include a Gin and a Maple Liqueur.

Sweet and dry are typically the distinctions people look for most often, but there are plenty of other nuances to wine, and Snow Farm Vineyard offers eight of the nine common styles of wine. Most of our visitors start with a wine tasting to get to know our diverse wine options. The wine-tasting flights are the most popular option on our menu.

If you’re interested in a specific style of wine, for example, our sweeter wines, your server will help you pick those from among the list. Sweeter wine choices include our Naked Mermaid, Snow White, Fox Hill Maple, Rose Red, and Vidal Blanc Ice Wine.

If you prefer a dryer style of wine, our Seyval Blanc, Vidal Blanc, Riesling, Léon Millot, Baco Noir, and Marquette are some great options.

Our Snow Trip Pét-Nat sparkling wine is an all-natural dry wine that makes any ordinary day into a celebration. It is also perfect for cocktails, New Year’s Eve toasts, weddings, and birthdays.

The Full Tasting Experience

Our visitors say the reason they love doing wine tastings is for the experience. There’s something special about enjoying hand-crafted wines in the place where they are made while you look out over acres of delicately cared-for vines.

A wine tasting is a great way to relax and is a fun way to learn more about the diverse preferences each individual has as you and your friends or family compare your reactions to each wine.

While you’re here, you can also enjoy local beer options, light snacks, including local meats and cheeses, artwork from our artist in residence, and local gifts, including our own Fox Hill Maple Syrup. And don’t forget to add some of our Snow Farm Distillery products to your tasting. Gin, Grappa, and Maple Liqueur are the original distillery products, with Brandy and other small-batch spirits to follow.

We have several outdoor seating options, including our patio, deck, and lawn. You can bring your own blanket and chairs and spread out. Enjoy free outdoor concerts on Thursday nights between June and early September. Inside, we have two spacious rooms to accommodate those who visit during the colder months or wish to take advantage of AC in the summer.

We invite you to visit and wander throughout our historic farmland and vineyard as you enjoy wine crafted with care in the heart of the Champlain Islands.
